Yazan Alkhateb is Illuminated Cities’ 2025 Poetry of the Camps-Gaza Fellow.

In his words, “My name is Yazan Alkhateb, a dreamer from Gaza who is lost in an escaped poem. I am 15 summers old and 5 wars, and I write poetry to survive from forgetting.”
