Eva Abu Mariam, Gaza

Eva Abu Mariam is a twenty-year-old young woman, dental student, poet and writer writing from the heart of the storm. Born in Gaza, she is living through the genocide, as one lives through a bloody wound.

A member of We Are Not Numbers, her work has been published in several platforms and magazines including Impulse magazine. Her work was translated into French in the book Gaza Speaks of Its Annihilation published by the Institute for Palestine Studies.

Eva is Illuminated Cities’ 2025 Poetry of the Camps-Gaza fellow.
