Eman Alastal is an Illuminated Cities 2025 Poetry of the Camps-Gaza fellow.
Eman is a 24-year-old creative content writer and literary contributor from Gaza, Palestine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the Islamic University of Gaza. Over the past seven years, she has honed her expertise in transforming the daily lives and dreams of her people into Palestinian narratives that resonate globally.
She specializes in content creation and marketing strategies for projects and brands across the Palestinian and Arab markets, helping to strengthen their digital presence. In addition, she has empowered over 150 freelance students by training them in writing and creative communication skills.
Eman currently works as Communication Manager at MECA and has published pieces with We Are Not Numbers and Scalawag.
She believes that humanity is the most genuine and profound battle that connects us despite our differences, and dreams of a free Palestine where everyone can live in peace, regardless of color, race, or religion.
